Hidden under the shadow of your wings
I am shielded by the comfort you bring
You caress the tears I cry
Collecting each one in a bottle
Your gentle hands hold the back of my broken wings
Upholding the freedom you’ve given me
Your smile greets mine as I lift my face up
Shining brighter than a billion suns
You do not despise the love I give
A pleasing aroma to your presence
Your eyes do not forsake the pain of this tender heart
Like the sea
Your love gathers me to you
It is your peace
That sees me through
Like a glimpse of fire
You lead the way
I remember you at the time of my youth
Your faithfulness has steadied my sights on you
You Lord, are the solace I’ve found.
