Today I would like to shine a light on this gem of a song called, “This Too Shall Pass” by Jeremy Camp. I happened to stumble upon it a week or so ago and fell in love with the power of the lyrics and how the notes get stronger as the song goes on.
Throughout this beautiful song, Camp takes his listeners through a journey of trusting. Even on your hardest of days, know they are temporary in light of eternity.
In the lyrical sequence, Camp sings, “Hold on through the morning, and know that His hand will hold you fast. Just like every storm ends, I promise you this, too, shall pass.” There is no circumstance that can overtake you. God is right next to you guiding you every step of the way. Do not grow weary or discouraged, for your redemption draws near. Rest in the consistency of Jesus. He promises that when we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us (James 4:8).
There is a glorious hope that awaits us. “The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” – Romans 8:18
There is beauty in the shadows. Camp adds to the theme of the message by singing, “But all your weathered scars is where redemption begins.” God can restore your broken scars. He has the power to do anything.
You can have a listen here on YouTube or listen here on Spotify. I pray the song blesses you!
Thanks for reading. ๐
