The Bride of Christ

To be one with Christ, is to be one with life itself. Our beautiful bridegroom is coming quickly. He has promised to make all things new.

Marry Christ before anything else.

God will never leave you nor forsake you. To put Christ first is the best decision one could ever make with their life. God’s love is all encompassing as He enters into an intimate, covenant relationship with you. His heart is with us. His love is pure. He only wants you so He can give you all of Himself. You are what He died for that you might know Him. God took the plunge of surrendering His one and only son, Himself incarnate, to become the ultimate sacrifice of our sins. Only He could save us. None other could do.

Once Jesus was resurrected, He gave us a comforter who leads us in all things righteous; the Holy Spirit. This we have, that we may rejoice in the fellowship God has with His children. With the Holy Spirit, we are one with God, understanding the will of Him who is with us. In this we know the coming of the age is soon. Signs all around the world indicate the return of the Promised One.

The Bridegroom is coming back for His bride.

Do not gaze upon man, but place your eyes on Jesus. Only He is the lover of your soul and the truth of salvation. He is our One true husband who never leaves us nor forsakes us.

He desires for His bride to be united to Him in all Spirit and Truth. He desires true diligence of our time to be given unto Him. God created us for His good pleasure (Revelation 4:11) and there is nothing anyone can do to take His chosen ones out of His hands (John 10:28).

Just as satan attempts to lure humans out of their marital covenants by the deceitfulness of desire, so does he use the same tactics on the bride of Christ. He lures people through the deceitfulness of riches, selfishness, greed, betrayal, the lies that life is better on the other side, through contention, fear, impatience, material possessions, sexual temptation, and addiction. The truth of the matter is, our hope is only found in Christ. The things of this world are not enough to satisfy a human soul. Only the Creator who made us, can satisfy the ones He created. Only God has the power to do that.

The Lord desires us to be bound to Him. Just as a husband and wife become one flesh, God desires His bride to be united to Him. His Spirit dwells within us to become one with ours. His desires become our desires. His will becomes our will. His love becomes our love. His promise is to one day be reunited face to face with the truth unveiled before our eyes. Jesus is soon returning to rescue His bride from the destruction that will beset the world. Incline your ear unto Him and seek fellowship with your Creator like never before. If you have yet to know Him, His will is that you come to Him. He is waiting to be found by you.

I Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV)

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

Revelation 21:1-5 (NKJV)

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

Let’s pray

Lord we will eat of your words and they will give us life. We will drink of your blood; the true atonement you’ve given us. We will eat of your bread of life and be satisfied with you in our midst. Thank you that you are our true husband; our one true love. You give your bride the eternal covenant of everlasting love. We rest in the life you give. God please keep our eyes focused on you. Let your bride be faithful in all things concerning you. Teach us and lead us in the way we should go, holding no part of ourselves back from you, our one true desire. May you be enough in the hearts of your people. May your love infiltrate through our minds, and into our hearts and souls. May your name be magnified in the midst of your people. Lord, let us prepare the way of your glorious return, in joyous expectation of who you are. Amen.

Theme song of the week: Beloved – Tenth Avenue North

I watched a fascinating video of the former lead singer of Tenth Avenue North, Mike Donehey, explain what Jesus meant when He called us His bride in scripture. He does an excellent job at explaining the covenant meaning behind the last supper. It’s worth a watch!

You are loved. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I pray it blesses you.

Have a blessed week. 🙂
