Poetry: Rubies and Dandelions

Red rubies glisten in the sun
Shining the way wisdom does

Dandelions hold her in their teeth
Grasping onto every word she says

Ripping apart lies
Dividing the wrong from the right

The wind blows, rivals tarry
Your Word remains the same

Sharper than any two-edged sword
It pierces through the murkiness of night

Stubborn and strong
The rubies dance into the petals of dandelions

Holding her tightly
Her words rooted deep in good soil

Dandelions scattered throughout God’s land
We hold His wisdom in our hands.
