Poetry: Through the Veil

Once there was a veil
The glory shone so bright
It overtook the shadows

The redemption was set
Though the veil was not yet torn

In the dark of night
The pain rustled through the wind

Wickedness laced through the heart of man
Holiness peered in the distance

What manner of man could mediate the separation between God and humankind?

Whom could save such reckless souls?

Out of the dust they came,
Into the dust they go.

The Holy One bore a curse
That we might be rectified

Beautiful perfection
Clothed in wretched destruction

Water and blood
Intermingled with the dust of the Earth

The satisfaction of holiness
Overcame the grave

Granted awareness of the prophecy once spoken

The veil was torn,
Communication with God fully opened

Revisited by the Spirit of God
From now until eternity.
