Still Not Happy?

Throughout life, I have always focused on what I wanted, where I needed to go next, and what was happening the upcoming weekend. I focused on better things like upcoming vacations and the material possessions of the world I craved.

As I grew up and matured, over time, I’ve come to the realization that, that’s what every person focuses on. But can we really be blamed? Our whole lives we’re taught to constantly want more and more until one day, we’re satisfied. Endless advertisements on every media platform, billboards, street corners and every place imaginable. But hey, maybe after switching out a perfectly working 54 inch plasma with a 72 inch TV, you’ll finally be happy. Maybe then you’ll never want a single thing ever again. Because somehow, in that moment, you believe that finally you’ll be happy and ultimately life will make sense.

Yet somehow, something always happens between when you occupy that store, purchase the item, and arrive home, that you’re left once again, spiritually bare and unfulfilled.

It’s a loop. Yes, a very convincing, enticing loop, but it’s still one that seems unbreakable and uncontrollable.

Here’s the thing:

You have the ability to see it through. You acquire the knowledge and realization to understand why life is the way it is and why we’re taught this endless illusion of happiness on a leash.

Why is it that we all search for this material illusion to fill our emotional and spiritual gap? Logically it doesn’t even make sense. There’s no reasonable explanation for the lies we’re told to believe and the corrupt system we follow, so trusting of it, our eyes are closed. When will the day come when we finally decide to open our eyes only to unveil the chaos of a world melted right to the core leaving nothing but broken hope and flightless schemes?

Think about it.

What the entire world is taught, completely lacks truth and love. It’s revealed through endless material things leading to no actual change, self-help mantras claiming to improve your very own life by repeating the same three words twelve times a day, and through idolizing people who are exploited, yet equal to us in order for us to take us out of our own selfish minds long enough to realize there are other people in the world. It’s all a deceitful scheme of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Wake up and come to the realization that society is being controlled in every way.

These very tactics listed including the many more not listed are the ‘puppeteers’ used to infiltrate our minds. Through music encouraging people of every age what to think about through lyrics romanticizing sex, drugs and alcohol. Through actual endless advertisements claiming that if you use this and that brand, you’ll actually be happy. The school system is teaching young kids how to think and what to believe.

Celebrities have completely been let off the loose with everything they stand for, truly, most of the exploited ones are only there because they sold their souls to the Devil. The worst part? Is they’re seemingly proud of this sentiment, or maybe that’s just a cry for help from them. Honestly, I’m afflicted for those falsified people, I mean they quite literally destroyed their eternity for a temporary Earthly life.

Another huge one is video games, C’mon these addicting consoles practically revolutionize violence. Why are we even drawn to blood so gruesome and pain so intense. It honestly feels like in a weird, eerie way, we’re drawn to such terror because it actually makes us feel something. Unfortunately, the only thing entertaining this violence does, is drive us farther away from ourselves and reality while subconsciously desensitizing us much more than we could have ever planned.

What’s going to save a shattered nation full of pieces of hopelessness and despair?

Within those pieces of shattered glass I believe it’s safe to now open our eyes and see ourselves and who we’ve become based on what we’ve been fed from a vastness we cannot control.

Look at where this world is now. Notice how we got here.

It’s through our selfish desires and the infiltration of the mind control from surrounding sources clouding our minds. We’re not where we are because of the love of God we believe to be true. We’re here because all along this world has taught us to reject what our very souls crave.

Because of this, this world will never be complete.

Only then does it become evident that we’re never fully happy because this world is attempting to sell us a bridge of worldly gimmicks, lacking the substance needed to successfully reach the other side. Without a bridge housing a solid foundation, it will never fail to fall through, leaving us right where we began. It will never be strong enough to carry the weight of a soul needing so much more than what this world can give.

It’s all quite ironic. All this time we think we’re getting closer and closer to ‘peace’ when in reality we keep moving further away.

The answer is right in front of our faces.

Unknowingly to most, our lives are led by an illusion that ‘peace’ is approaching and if we keep to ourselves and live life according to our standards then we should be safe and we should be okay, when in all truthfulness it’s the opposite. Happiness comes from within, contentment comes from the one true living God, while peace is born through a nation of genuine love.

What about ‘us’? generally speaking, it’s always easier to point the other finger, but if people are always getting hurt and left behind and even our very own friends and family talk of feeling alone and being unhappy, then aren’t we to blame? Every single soul matters, this is in our hands. Every single person plays a part.

Think about it. You read this. You recognize the importance of living a life worth more than the material aspect of a clutter-filled, mis-informed nation. You realize a full life is one led by the Holy Spirit. You recognize that throughout a world full of lies and ambiguity, it only subseqeuently leads to confusion and an endless consumption of things this temporary world attempts to sell you. You alter your desires. This shows through every aspect of your life. People around you begin to notice, they crave what you have uncovered. They have changed and it becomes a rippling effect only known to get stronger. This started with you as a moving vessel and will continue endlessly.

You are the difference.

We all are.
