A Drowning Soul

This soul believes the all-encompassing lie that this is all there is. That change is not possible. That nobody can save them now. They just are the way they are and nobody understands what they’ve been through.

A drowning soul does not know the all-encompassing Savior. They have not met Him. They haven’t allowed God to happen to them.

There is no evidential change in their lives. They cannot tell you what God can do, nor do they truly believe it because they have never experienced God transform their souls.

They can legally be used as instruments of the devil because they do not have the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling their bodies, leading them into holiness.

They trust in man rather than God.

These people sometimes are disguised as those who live comfortable lives masquerading as good people to human standards.

Such believe they are good on their own and have no need of a personal, holy savior, willing to save them from themselves; their sinful nature.

God is able to give us new desires.

There are no good people in this world. The Bible is clear that, none are good or righteous, not one. The human heart is deceitfully wicked, and none seek after God (Romans 3:10-12). There are no big and small sins. The Word of God says explicitly, if you’ve committed one sin, you’ve committed them all (James 2:10).

There is only one God; one infallible truth.

Repentance is recognizing that you have broken the law of God and you are ready to confess it genuinely. It means you must renounce your sin and then be willing to give up your sin for forgiveness. You can’t come to Christ with your pride. You have to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

You become gloriously changed into the likeness of Christ. This comes by yielding to the Holy Spirit. You are a new creation.

Have you ever died to yourself?

The evidence of your faith are the qualities of a transformed life.

Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

A Christian’s purpose is to embody Jesus in all its entirety. To live a life fully surrendered to His will and purposes. To live as an offering to His calling on our lives. To love as He loves. Talk as He talks. Walk as He walks. The Holy Spirit gives one new desires, once surrendered to Him. Only then, will God use that broken soul and make them whole.

The work is completed in Christ. Every day the flesh needs to die in Christ, the soul is being made more like Him. To accept grace is a choice. It is not a license to sin; it is recognizing the gift of God and thanking Him with the evidence of a fruitful life rooted in Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 10:21 (NKJV)

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

Ephesians 4:27 (NKJV)

Nor give place to the devil.

Ephesians 5:11 (NKJV)

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

1 John 4:1 (NKJV)

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

James 4:7-10 (NKJV)

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Let’s Pray

Dear Lord, bring every lost soul to you so you can save them. Show them that they are in need of your glorious saving grace in their lives. Give them a hope and a future. Show them your anointed calling on their lives. God, let every drowning soul reach their hand out to you and be led out of the trenches with your holy touch. Speak to the hearts of your sheep and lead them closer to you like never before. We love you Lord, and want only for your will to be done in our lives. Lead us into holiness in every aspect of our lives. Deliver us from the fowler’s snare, cover us under the feathers of your wings, and shield us with your all-embracing truth. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
